Arthur's Plaid Pants is the business name of illustrator Jen Husted-Goss.

Says Jen: I've been lucky enough to turn my childhood love of drawing into a full-time career as an illustrator. I received my BFA from Eastern Michigan University with my concentration in graphic design.

My business is named after my grandfather Art (Arthur) and the obnoxious plaid polyester golf pants he loved to wear. He was the most influential person in my life as a child so I knew I wanted to incorporate him into my business somehow. Even though he's no longer with us, I know he'd get a kick out of my business name.

I've been a freelance designer/illustrator for over a decade now. I co-owned & operated a design firm in Chicago for four years before branching out to focus on my illustration.

Arthur's Plaid Pants started in 2010 and my Etsy shop was launched in 2011. I work from a home studio within our 100-year-old Grand Rapids, Michigan home. I wake up every day feeling fortunate that I'm able to spend my days doing what makes me happy. I can honestly say, I love what I do!

Everything in my shop is conceptualized, drawn, packaged and shipped by me. My supplies -- such as paper and envelopes -- are sourced from local Michigan businesses. We are very much into supporting local, shopping local and focusing on our community.

My shop is constantly evolving and new items are always being added so check back often.
