Transistor is home to more than 50 artists local and statewide.  We strive to showcase the quality works and unique wears of small independent artists in a world of corporations.

Online shopping has caused consumers to miss what brick and mortar stores can offer.  Online shoppers cannot understand the craftsmanship of an item over a screen. At our location you can feel and see the exquisite craftsmanship and distinctive artistry of the piece; you can smell the candles, you can feel the weight and texture of fabrics.  Transistor tries to allow shoppers the original shopping experience - In store. 

Roscoe Village is a community where small business flourish because of partnerships and togetherness. We want small “Mom and Pop” stores with unique wares over big corporations.  

This is where Transistor comes in. Our location is curated with everyone in mind; From the amazing art on the walls, to some of the coolest T-shirts, to eccentric gifts you won’t find anywhere else. Additionally, Transistor is a mini music store.  We pride ourselves on our small curated, but amazing collection of new and used vinyl. We can’t have everything like other record stores, but we feel we maintain the essentials and if you really want it, we can help you find.

One definitely unique trait of Transistor is that we are always rearranging and changing our art and merchandise, so make sure to stop by often to see what we are showcasing.
