Transistor Radio for the week of March 17-23, 2015
This week Jon Monteverde has two ambient electronic sets on “In Store: Selections From Transistor’s Live Performance Archive,” one from Millipede (aka Don Hill), the other from Mereology (aka Will Farina). Interlopin’ serves up 100+ minutes of space disco, nu disco and French House in what DJ Tashtego calls “the platonic ideal” of his show, a mix called Disctopia. Andrea Garces’ “Gems of the Week” include a mix of garage, deep tech-house and future R&B, while DJ Bloodshot Scott has a different sort of garage – garage rock, along with psych and indie – on “Sideshow,” and Charlie Crane devotes an hour to musical gerunds, with songs by Robyn Hitchcock, Deerhunter, Tweedy, and more. Plus there’s “Blame It On The Boogie: Deep & Dirty Disco From Lechstafari,” and Andy Miles’ “15 Songs.” We hope you’ll tune in.
Transistor Radio is the weekly webcast of Transistor. Tune in to hear programs featuring indie & archival rock, Americana, electronica, house, tracks from our live performance archive, original sound pieces specially made for Transistor Radio, interview and discussion programs, and more.
