Transistor Radio for the week of May 19-25, 2015

This week on In Store: Selections From Transistor’s Live Performance Archive, host Jon Monteverde features a 2013 recording of then-Chicago (now Brooklyn-based) indie folk duo Scuttlebuggs. Bring Your Own Beat has an original piece from Erie, Pennsylvania’s Adam Holquist, working under the name onewayness. Andrea Garces’ Gems of the Week include tech house, deep house, g-house, bass hop, and dubstep tracks. On Interlopin’ DJ Tashtego taps into his roots once again with a mix of the essential sounds from his off-campus house in senior year of college; this is part two of two. Scott & Odie are back with a new episode of The Good Music Show, featuring an all-live set this week with music from Echo & The Bunnymen, The Smiths, The Velvet Underground and more. Stereo Hysteria’s Charlie Crane also puts the focus on live recordings with the latest installment of his “Late Night Lineup” series; this time it’s highlights from “The Colbert Report,” including performances by Jack White, The Black Keys, Beck and Tweedy. 15 Songsand Blame It On The Boogie are taking the week off.
